1. Dolphin Flip magazine + exhibition

Dolphin Flip printed magazine

Together with the photo series, Dolphin Flip extended as a small magazine produced, designed and printed by Marco Galluci. The material contains the collection of more than 80 picures in total and was featured at the Vernissage of the exhibition in Paris.

All materials for the exhibition were designed as a whole, following the same creative direction and cohesiveness: the magazine, summary, postcards, business cards and the installation itself.

Project statement: In different corners of São Paulo, Brazil, there was a small boy who used to escape reality with nothing but a friend and a skateboard. At the beginning, what started as a simple activity, quickly shaped the way he talked, dressed and viewed life — He had all the time in the world and nothing to worry about but skating.

That boy is me and his journey is translated into “Dolphin flip’’: a personal project that invites everyone to dive deep into the skateboard culture in Paris, discovering what is behind a skater's world. The absence of digital photography was intentional and this analog documentary-style series is meant to embody the rawness and unpredictable energy that comes with skateboarding — I invite you to immerse yourself into the atmosphere of this subculture.
